Jonah Street
finished 17th in his first Dakar, and was labeled a 'revelation' after
multiple stage podium finishes. After running in 4th position in
the 2007 Dakar, unfortunately Jonah had a motor failure and was forced
to retire from the race. After the cancellation of the 2008 Dakar,
Jonah competed in the Dakar Series Central European Rally where he
scored a top 10 finish.
In the 2009 Dakar Rally, Jonah won stage 5 and was in the top 3 overall
until he was forced to retire due to a previous wrist injury.
We also have the
best support crew in the business: in the
grueling desert, good people are essential, so we have gathered
the toughest,
most experienced, and most motivated team possible. Combined, the crew
members have competed in over 15 Dakar Rallies.
Sid Milton
and Niles Follin,
multi-time Dakar
veterans, serve as mechanics and keep the vehicles running day and
night.
Robb McElroy drives the lead assistance truck
and keeps everyone, from diesel vendors to spectators to border guards,
in line. He is also the team's assistant manager.
Charlie Rauseo,
Team Manager, led the team and rode one of the racing motorcycles
from 2002 through 2006. In 2007, Charlie retired his riding boots and
focused on one goal: Winning the Dakar Rally with Rally Pan
Am.
Our entire team has experience with success in the Dakar and will settle
for nothing less in the future.
