After the longest stage in the race (almost 100 miles) and then a shorter afternoon stage (about 30 miles), Jonah finished 4th for the day.
He now would sit in 4th or 5th overall, just ahead of Cyril Depres. But unfortunately the organization has penalized him for "missing a waypoint". His GPS has been flaky all race, and it, amongst more than 30 others, didn't register a waypoint yesterday. The team has filed an appeal and is vigorously fighting this.
Interestingly, the other non-KTM factory racer who was near the top, Slovakian Enduro Champ Katrinak, has also been penalized.
