Jonah finished well today, despite the course being extremely muddy and treacherous...  he fell down about km100, and lost some time there.  Luckily he was not injured and the bike was fine (albeit with plenty of work for Niles tonight fixing bent and cracked bits and pieces.

 

Tomorrow the navigation will really start to come into play, as there will be the first bit of "hors piste" or off track..  the riders will have to navigate through the desert using only compass headings..  And the next day (Stage 4) we head off to Chile and the great Atacama desert.
